About 12 days ago, just 3 weeks after functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty, I had everything removed: the silicone capsule, donated costal cartilage at the nasal tip, and ear cartilage. It has been 12 days since removal because inflammation developed, but the bridge of my nose and the area around the nasal tip still feel sore and throbbing. The hospital that did the surgery says it isn’t blood accumulation or inflammation, and oddly there’s no swelling or heat sensation. The pain is less than before removal, but after removal I don’t feel like the pain has clearly improved; it feels the same. I’m still taking painkillers. Has anyone had continuing pain after complete removal? Has anyone had the contraction phase start right after complete removal?
