I’m not exactly sure whether I had septal extension or not, but during a consultation for removal, they said it seems like I did have septal extension, and that they probably either didn’t use septal cartilage or used only a small amount. My last surgery was in 2008, and I’m not sure whether the cartilage used for the septal extension was autologous costal cartilage or donated costal cartilage. If cartilage that had been extending the septum for 14 years is removed, what kind of problems could happen? I’ve heard a lot that if you remove septal extension, the nose lifts up or collapses, but what does collapsing mean exactly? ㅠㅠ Does the nose just completely sink down?

I developed inflammation 2 weeks after nose surgery, so I took antibiotics, and at week 4 I had the silicone removed. But there is still an inflammatory reaction, so I’m looking into complete removal ㅠㅠ The clinic says we should keep trying
