Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

Are septal extension grafting and setting up a septal strut then placing septal cartilage on top to make the nose higher different surgeries?

1 Septal extension grafting: by adding graft material to one side or both sides of the existing nasal septum and fixing it to the alar cartilage, the length and height of the nasal tip can be increased. 2 Septal strut: a strut is set up using harvested septal cartilage. Are these two different surgeries? I asked the hospital where I had surgery whether they only set up a strut using septal cartilage or did an extension graft, and the answer I got was that the surgery involved setting up a strut with septal cartilage, tying the alar cartilages, and grafting septal cartilage onto the nasal tip. The hospital describes this as nasal tip extension surgery using the septum.
