I had surgery about 13 years ago, and the only explanation I heard at the time was that they shaved the nasal bone, put in the thinnest silicone, and used nasal cartilage. But now that I'm trying to have it removed, there are so many completely unfamiliar terms like septal extension or strut. I think what they meant back then by using nasal cartilage was probably septal cartilage. Other than that, there isn't nasal cartilage, right? Is that right?
