I thought only autologous dermis gets absorbed, but costal cartilage can be absorbed too. I’m scared of autologous costal cartilage and am debating whether to use septal cartilage, ear cartilage, and donated costal cartilage as materials. I’m wondering whether donated costal cartilage has many side effects. It seems costal cartilage is mostly used to support the columella, so if it gets absorbed, I’m curious what happens to the structure that was raised.
