People who know from my periodic posts here will know, but it’s now been almost 4 months since I had removal, and I developed asymmetry of the alar cartilage. There wasn’t anything like a support strut, and only the cap graft placed on top of my nose was removed, so I didn’t really have cartilage repositioning or anything like that. My concern is that the alar cartilage is asymmetric. The left cartilage protrudes downward close to the columella, and the right side protrudes upward near the nasal tip. Before removal, I had been constantly worried about cartilage show-through, so even before removal I kept thinking, what if my alar cartilage shows through, what if I don’t do repositioning …

I developed inflammation 2 weeks after nose surgery, so I took antibiotics, and at week 4 I had the silicone removed. But there is still an inflammatory reaction, so I’m looking into complete removal ㅠㅠ The clinic says we should keep trying
