Today I went to the hospital to have the gauze removed from inside my nostrils. It's only a 10-minute taxi ride, but there are so many traffic lights and the subway is under construction, so it took a long time. Also, the doctor told me not to just lie around at home but to rest and take a walk little by little, so I walked there, which took about 30 minutes. I wore a hat and a mask... On the way, I stopped by a bank too, and the security guard kept lingering near me for no reason.. haha, I must have looked like a criminal who was trying not to get caught on camera. Anyway, I got to the hospital, had the gauze removed, Ah.. honestly, being able to breathe through my nose feels so good... They also removed the splint on top of my nose, peeled off all the tape, and after thoroughly applying disinfectant and medicine on the bridge and nostrils, they showed me a mirror so I could look at my nose... There was no way...! My nose really was pretty.. it looked like it had been carved by hand.. but.. it didn't look like my nose at all. My nasal bridge used to be fairly wide, but now it has become so, so thin... I hate that.. I don't like my face suddenly changing like this. And why is it so high? The tip is pointing up to the sky too. Well, they said the height will gradually come down... so that reassures me a little.. but I'm worried that even after it goes down from being that high, it might still be too high. Even while it's swollen, the nasal bridge is thin.. I'm worried it will get even thinner once the swelling goes down. Sigh.. I'm really upset. After talking for a long time, it seemed like we exchanged opinions well.. but I guess what the doctor had in mind and what I had in mind were different... Tonight's sleep is ruined for sure... At this rate my face has changed so much that I can't even meet my friends... Anyway, after that they put the splint back on and taped it again, and I came home.. In the taxi on the way back, that nose I saw in the mirror earlier! (It was mine, but it felt unfamiliar, like who are you? ㅠ.ㅠ) kept floating around in my head... Maybe it looked like that because I was looking at the mirror while lying down. Everyone.. once the swelling goes down, can the nasal bridge end up getting thicker? How much does the height usually come down? For now, I know it takes time for the nose shape to fully settle, so I'm going to try to keep calm and think positively..
