8 months after square jaw surgery...

...It's been a while.. I'm posting.. In the meantime.. a lot of people are still.. getting surgery... haha^^ I thought it might help to post updates on my condition now and then, so this time... I'm posting after a little more time has passed... When seen from the front.... I used to have a jaw that would make people think... 'square jaw'... but now.... even when I tie all my hair back... I feel confident....^^... and I wear half-up hairstyles too... My family still doesn't know, but when my somewhat quick-witted older sister... says somehow my face has gotten smaller... I feel a little startled. That must be because.... the square jaw under my ears is gone...^^ But the swelling inside my mouth still hasn't gone down.. Well, the hospital only says it seems like my swelling is going down later than other people's.. I don't have any particular other side effects... I'm worried that swelling going down late might also be a side effect.... I also wonder if maybe, from 3 months after surgery... because I started drinking alcohol... the swelling is going down even more slowly.... Definitely, when I drink alcohol.... my face gets more flushed.. and the inside of my mouth swells more......... Sometimes.... I do feel a little regret, wondering... whether getting the surgery was the right choice..... but on the other hand, I gained confidence... so now I just need to lose weight, right. haha... I didn't shave off that much... I really only removed the square jaw... because if it got too slim... it would really... look obvious..^^: It's almost been 1 year... I really hope that by then the swelling has properly gone down.... and that it can help people who are worried because of swelling... Sigh... swelling.. when will it ever go down..... I'll post once again around winter... I should keep watching the progress..^^ Everyone will become prettier... Don't worry too much... just bear with it and wait.
