Day 11 after cheekbone and jaw surgery

It's day 11 after surgery For 4 days I ate porridge, and starting on day 5 I began eating rice I don't know if it's okay to eat foods that you chew, like rice Side dishes are still a bit hard to eat, but I chew and eat things like eggs, japchae, and jajangmyeon. Looking at other people, they say they blend all their food for a month, so I don't know if this is okay.. The swelling is just like my old face with chubbier cheeks, and I have no problem going around.. I started brushing my teeth on day 7, and when food gets in, the deep mark under my right cheek stings. I can open my mouth enough for about 2 fingers to fit... I kept only doing cold compresses, then heard warm compresses were good, so I started warm compresses from day 9, and it feels like the swelling is going down faster than before.. But is it okay for me to keep chewing and eating rice and side dishes like this??? I have sensation in most of my face, but the front cheek and side cheek areas still feel numb and sore, like the muscles are knotted up.. Am I okay??
