I’ve had an inner double eyelid all my life, but now I wanted to make it a bit more of an outer line (Im Bora, Jang Won-young, Winter style), so I looked into some clinics and finally went! I got consultations in this order: Ollo / BIO / Naturalism, so I’ll write the reviews in the same order too. I’m writing this quickly so I don’t forget, so please excuse the messy notes lol If you have questions, leave a comment!
1. Ollo (Director in charge) - Waiting time about 10 to 15 minutes? After filling out the chart and waiting, they called me in for an eye photo. I had my eye photo taken in the studio and then went back. The staff and the director were all kind, yes yes. The vibe was a little cute and bright. I noticed that from the phone call when I booked lol. Also, I’m sensitive about time appointments, so I like it when they tell me the waiting time in advance, and they explained it well, so I was grateful.... To explain my eye concerns in more detail, I wanted the double eyelid line to be moved outward, and because my eye shape seems naturally a bit droopy, I wanted to ask if there was any surgery that could lift it a little. I also wanted to lengthen my eyes like a cat’s. I was already expecting that this would probably require canthoplasty. I brought a photo of the eye shape I wanted and showed it to the director and the manager, and after looking at my eyes, they said that given my eye structure, inner-out / semi-outer would probably be the best I could do. I was genuinely disappointed. I had thought that if I had surgery, I might be able to look like that too, but they said no;;.. They showed me the line, saying they could barely raise it at all, and if they pushed it all the way out to an outer line, it would become a sausage eye and I wouldn’t like it. lol the line they showed me was honestly disgusting lol I said there was absolutely no way. I gave up immediately lol

This clinic looked at photos and explained my eye structure and even my eye-opening habit. I didn’t even realize I was lifting my eyes with forehead strength lol. They said I seem to use my left eye more. I checked and only then realized that the eyebrow position is different in photos when my eyes are closed versus when they’re open; The director kept changing the line and showed me what it would look like even after front canthoplasty and upper canthoplasty. The consultation with the director felt really long, but I think it was because they talked a lot about my eyes and showed me a lot of different designs?
2. BIO (Director Hong) - No waiting time Is ptosis the same as eye-opening correction? They kept pulling and touching my face like this and then said, “You have ptosis.” They said if it’s ptosis, canthoplasty isn’t necessary and eye-opening would improve too. I showed them photos of Winter, Jang Won-young, and Im Bora, but there was no mention of that. Awkward lol.. Maybe they thought correcting ptosis was more important, because that was all they explained over and over.. They said that generally, if 80% of the pupil is visible when the eyes are open, it’s considered large eyes. But in my case, the left eye was covered by 2 mm and the right eye by 1 mm, so by correcting that ptosis they would improve my eye-opening strength and make my eyes bigger too. They said if I wanted canthoplasty, I could decide after seeing how ptosis correction goes, and it wouldn’t be too late.
* Director’s diagnosis - Anterior incisional double eyelid + ptosis correction, meaning they would make a small incision at the front part of the eye to remove tissue that makes the eyes look heavy * Post-op care - Nothing special; they said doing warm compresses and walking at home would be more effective * Follow-up visit - One visit the day after surgery and stitch removal on day 4 (2 visits total) * A/S - 2 years * Discount info - eye photos disclosed
P.S. Everyone who wears contact lenses, don’t wear them when you go. They do a vision test.. I wish they had told me in advance; it was such a hassle taking out my lenses in the clinic bathroom with the lens case and saline solution the staff gave me, and then I couldn’t see anything. I have poor vision, and astigmatism too;; I was sweating trying to get through the consultation and take notes in that state. Just wear glasses, everyone. They don’t allow duplicate reservations here. For example, if you booked with Director Hong and had a consultation, you can’t get another consultation with a different director at the same clinic. Does that make sense? lol seriously. Director Hong kept using casual speech. And he seemed to make diagnoses with a lot of certainty.. I heard he has a lot of pride because of his long career, maybe that’s why he consults like that?; and he talked so fast that it was hard to take notes. Halfway through I just gave up on notes and listened, but I still couldn’t understand. And when I asked again, he didn’t really explain in more detail. Anyway, I really wanted to walk out lol^^
3. Naturalism (Director Kang) - Waiting time about 10 minutes The director was a female director and was completely my style. Straightforward and refreshing~, with calm speech and a neat, simple explanation to finish. I understood everything really well lol They kept asking me at the clinic to write down the medications I take on the chart, but I didn’t know why I had to list them. The director here explained it: vitamin medications can cause a lot of bleeding during surgery, so I was told not to take them starting 2 weeks before the surgery date. I got seriously scared for a second lol I need to remember that, yikes.

They said eye-opening correction has two purposes: making the eyes look clearer and firmly holding the double eyelid line. So it’s optional. The funny thing is that every clinic said I had a lot of tissue in my eyes and recommended incisional surgery, but here they firmly recommended non-incisional. My double eyelid line held for more than 5 seconds when I checked it, so they said even if I did it with an incision, the hold would be good. That’s great for me, I just have to trust the doctor. They also said, just like the other clinics, that I have the habit of lifting my left eye with force and that my right eye has more fat, making it thicker. So they said some fat removal would be needed, but even with fat removal, thick skin can’t really be changed. Don’t expect the skin to become thin lol If I want it thinner, they said I’d need forehead lifting. Isn’t that the surgery that pulls up the forehead? lol that’s terrifying lol
P.S. Everything was good, but the problem was the price consultation with the manager at the end lol.. The manager doesn’t really answer questions in detail. They said if I made a same-day reservation, they would waive the fat-removal fee. But I wasn’t planning to book the clinic that same day anyway, since I was still comparing options.. So I said I couldn’t make a same-day reservation and asked how much the fat removal would cost, but they didn’t answer that and just said to think about it until the 28th and contact them then. I mean, was I being threatened? Like, if I don’t decide by that date, they’ll add fat removal and charge me, but they won’t tell me how much it costs~ that vibe lol.. I’ll wrap up the review here.
