I used L-shaped silicone 16 years ago, but lately I’ve been having pain, my skin has gotten thinner, and they say the silicone is showing through, so I’m thinking of removing it. Part of me wants to wait until the pain settles down a bit and just leave it alone, but is L-shaped silicone something that has to be removed someday anyway? If there’s pain or something, is removing it just the right answer? The money is an issue, and I also feel some sense of loss about it getting lower, so I don’t know what to do. Choosing a hospital is hard too.

I developed inflammation 2 weeks after nose surgery, so I took antibiotics, and at week 4 I had the silicone removed. But there is still an inflammatory reaction, so I’m looking into complete removal ㅠㅠ The clinic says we should keep trying
