For everyone who had a full removal through an open approach, do scars last long?

My condition: 17 years ago, I had silicone inserted through a closed approach. I don’t remember if it was 1.5 mm or 2 mm, but however high it was, it definitely wasn’t over 2 mm. The silicone was placed only in the nasal bridge like that, and nothing was done to the nasal tip. Now the silicone shows through under the right side of my nose and protrudes slightly. When I had a consultation, they said my nose had deviated to the right because of the silicone, and that even though only the nasal bridge was done, the silicone could have moved due to a major impact. Since I want a full removal, they decided to do a full removal, remove as much scar tissue and capsular membrane as possible, and at the end lower the nasal tip to correct contracture.
