My eyes are monolids, I have severe epicanthal folds, and my eyelids droop quite a bit. I had been putting off double-eyelid surgery, but I finally made up my mind and started visiting clinics. I wanted an inline crease, and after narrowing down clinics that, by my standards, seemed to operate with a natural-looking result, I visited them.
1. ㅇㅇㅇ Plastic Surgery Clinic (single-doctor clinic) Consultation order: consultant - doctor - consultant Consultation fee: none
I went after making a reservation, waited about 15 minutes, and then went in. The doctor held the crease line for me several times and was kind. This was the only doctor who held the lines on both eyes. I felt the line was slightly on the fancy side. They recommended an incisional method but said non-incisional burial would also be possible, and because the inner corners of my eyes are hook-shaped, they recommended doing only a slight epicanthoplasty. They also told me to do ptosis correction. The anesthesia is brief sedation followed by local anesthesia. They said they do only up to 4 surgeries a day. They said that if I posted a review, they would give me an event price about 300,000 won lower than the regular price. The clinic was clean too, and overall I got the impression that it was a decent clinic.
2. ㅈㅇㅈㅇ Plastic Surgery Clinic Consultation order: consultant - doctor - consultant Consultation fee: none
It is a large clinic with several doctors, and I made a reservation after choosing a doctor who was said to be good at double-eyelid surgery. I went into the consultation with almost no waiting. They said it had to be done by incision, and that I needed epicanthoplasty and ptosis correction as well. They said they would decide before surgery whether to open only forward or also slightly upward (they said they would pay attention to the hook-shaped inner corners). They held the crease line on only one eye, but it was pretty. The doctor was kind too. However, I was hesitant because the cost was more expensive than other places (about 500,000 won more). The clinic was large and clean.
3. ㅇㅇㅂ Plastic Surgery Clinic (single-doctor clinic)
Consultation order: doctor - consultant Consultation fee: 10,000 won
I went after making a reservation, waited a little, and then went in. I was recommended incision, canthoplasty, and ptosis correction. For the canthoplasty, they recommended opening slightly upward. The consultation was not long, but the line they held for me (only one side) was naturally pretty. The doctor had a lot of experience, so they seemed confident. The clinic was not very large, but it was neat and clean.
I visited 3 places, and at all of them the consultants and staff were kind, and aside from differences in clinic size, they were neat and clean. Should I say it felt like the clinics were all generally leveled up? Also, given the characteristics of my eyes, their surgical direction was the same: double-eyelid surgery together with canthoplasty and ptosis correction.
I hope my review is helpful.
