Because of tenderness and headaches, I’ve been looking into removal surgery lately, and I’m unsure because one hospital I recently visited recommended revision surgery without an implant while removing the silicone. They said, let’s remove the silicone that’s causing the tenderness. But since my nose is very bulbous, they said to leave the nasal tip as it is and, while removing the ear cartilage silicone, just cover the step-off created by removing the silicone with the remaining ear cartilage. In my opinion, ear cartilage isn’t exactly an implant, but I’m worried that later, as it gets absorbed, it could cause problems or trigger inflammation.
