I had rhinoplasty using ear cartilage as a columellar strut. Right after the surgery, an inflammatory reaction occurred, so I had a total of 35 follow-up checks. Friends around me said things like my nose looked upturned or pressed down, but the director personally checked my progress and said it was okay, and I trusted the director’s follow-ups because I thought worrying about it might make even things that could be fine turn worse. But as time went on, it kept looking stranger, and since the clinic would just say the same thing, “let’s monitor the progress,” whenever I went, I went to three places in Seoul for consultations just in case.
