Would it be okay to have silicone removed at the university hospital where I had my revision surgery?

About 12 years after my first surgery, I had the silicone replaced at a university hospital because of a nasal bone fracture. The shape is fine and there’s no inflammation, but I’m worried about side effects that could appear at any time, and now I want it to look a bit more natural. At the time of the fracture, they told me to decide whether to replace or remove the silicone, but they only said that if I removed it, they wouldn’t know what the shape would be like. The surgeon is still at that hospital, so I wonder if it would be better for the person who operated on me to do it again, but I also wonder if a hospital specializing in removal would be better. Has anyone had a nasal implant removed at a university hospital? How satisfied were you? For reference...
