It has now been 12 days since my jaw and cheekbone surgery. For me, swelling isn't the issue. The swelling is... if people who know me see me, it's just like, "You gained a bit of weight"... that's about it... Under my chin looks... slightly numb/dull. That's about it. The important thing is... these pulling sensations, whether it's muscle or what... especially when I smile... When do things like this start to look natural? By nighttime... I get pulling symptoms constantly, and it's no joke. When do things like this go away? Also, during surgery on the left side of my jaw, I don't know if they touched a blood vessel wrong or something, but I have no sensation. According to the doctor, cases like this happen from time to time, and sensation usually comes back around 2 to 6 weeks. But I don't know if this is sensation trying to return... should I call it the gums? The teeth on the jaw side where there is no sensation ache terribly. And one last thing I'm wondering about... I don't know if it's because of swelling, but when my upper lip and lower lip are still, I can't really tell, but when I pronounce sounds like "yu" or "u," they are completely misaligned. In short, my lips move separately. I'm wondering if this is also because the muscles haven't found their proper position yet. Almost every single day, I spend the day full of worries. Those who know well, please be sure to reply.
