Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

I had surgery today.

Hello... Today I came back after having eye and nose surgery.. Ah.. my eyes were just done lightly with the buried suture method... so I’m posting this review in the nose surgery section. I went in firmly believing I would be under sedation, but as expected, it failed. Both my mother and I are like this; why does anesthesia not work on us so badly..-_- When I was young, my anesthesia wore off during a major surgery and the hospital was thrown into an uproar. Before the surgery, I had already told them about my unusual constitution where anesthesia doesn’t work well, and the director said they usually give anesthesia once more midway through, so I trusted that and started.. For the eyes, they poked, pinched, and stitched a few times, then told me to open my eyes and close my eyes, and it was over. The director said, “You’re not swelling much. It’ll turn out well.” I wonder if that was supposed to be a reassuring message.. Finally, nose surgery.... I felt the anesthetic flowing coolly in through the IV site in my left arm. Mm.. I thought I’d fall asleep soon now.. but what the heck... My mind was completely clear, and I was so irritated I thought I’d die... The director said.. “Why aren’t you sleeping? Goodness...” “It’s not that we gave you less anesthetic because we were trying to save it; you really do seem to have an unusual constitution..” Anyway, I could feel the inside of my nose being cut, and the skin being lifted... I could feel them doing all sorts of things.. I couldn’t bring myself to open my eyes because I was scared... I thought if the skin under my eyes was flipped over or I saw something like bone, I would feel extremely unpleasant.. At some point my mind became hazy, and it felt as if I had drunk past my alcohol limit, and I felt tipsy.. Even then, why couldn’t I fall asleep.. It was painful.. At one point, inside my nose, I couldn’t tell if they were cutting out some bone or putting in silicone.. It seemed like there was a crunching sound, and also a scraping sound, but at that moment, the anesthesia suddenly wore off. Sigh.. this darn constitution...-_- I told the director that I thought the anesthesia had worn off and that it hurt, and he said yes, just a moment, and quickly gave me anesthesia again. Then the nose surgery was all finished, and I felt tape being placed on top of my nose.. The director said, “You did well,” and left the operating room.. I also had columella surgery in the middle, and I think around that part my consciousness was coming and going. I wanted to finish the surgery comfortably, sleeping peacefully and even dreaming like other people, but for me it was quite painful. It has only been a few hours since the surgery, but the swelling isn’t severe... Also, the nasal bridge seems to have come out very nicely, and I like it a lot. Later, once the swelling goes down more and everything settles into place, I’ll probably like it much more. People say that after surgery, others often don’t like it or think, “What is this?”.. Why do I like my nose..-_- Goodness... I do think I’m a bit peculiar myself. Ah.. but I’m really curious how others who had nose surgery dealt with nasal congestion. This nasal congestion is killing me. Breathing through my mouth is no easy thing..
