I have septal extension, and I had septal extension done with autologous costal cartilage, but the septum is very deviated, so the entrance for breathing is blocked. The columella and nasal tip are also crooked. I went for consultations, but everyone says different things, so I’m torn. One place said they would reuse the autologous costal cartilage, remove the extension, use the autologous costal cartilage for septal correction, harvest ear cartilage, and make a columellar strut. Another place says the septum is very deviated and, because the deviation is already severe, it can’t be reused, so they want to harvest autologous costal cartilage and correct it.
