I had nose surgery at a factory-style hospital in February 2021 with very thin 12mm silicone and ear cartilage, and cartilage has protruded into the mucous membrane. I didn’t use rib cartilage, and as far as I know, septal cartilage wasn’t used either. When I had a CT taken at another hospital, they said I had enough septal cartilage. At first I thought it was scar tissue and waited, thinking it would go away, but these days it seems to be protruding more. It doesn’t hurt occasionally; it just feels a little uncomfortable and dull. When I press it, it feels soft-hard. What kind of cartilage is protruding there?
