It’s day 5 now. I’ll be taking off the splint soon, and it feels so suffocating. I hate looking at the swelling, it’s itchy, and I wish time would pass quickly I was going to do a silicone replacement, but I ended up deciding on removal on the day of surgery. After the surgery, I asked, and they said they had removed the silicone and the capsule too. I didn’t have silicone inflammation or contracture, but I guess they still removed it. I’m a bit scared about how much lower it will get once the swelling goes down, but more than that, I hope there won’t be any bumpiness or step-off. Oh, and they said I had to have osteotomies on both sides even without silicone, so I did. Could that make the nasal bridge even lower?
