Can septal cartilage also calcify? I had extension and a strut done with septal cartilage, and the nasal tip was done with ear cartilage. Because of functional side effects, I am thinking about removal and going around to clinics for consultations. One clinic looked at the CT and said calcification is visible in the middle of the septum. Is that right? And if calcification occurs, does it not need to be removed? But they did not recommend removal and also seemed a bit unconfident about revision surgery. My nasal dorsum is also uneven, so when I asked why that was, they said, "I don't know. Why didn't you ask the surgeon who operated on you?" So I said I could not really trust them, and then they asked whether cartilage had been grafted...
