They said the silicone implant for the nasal bridge would be placed to match the nasal tip height, so they couldn’t tell me how many millimeters would go in until they opened it up. After the surgery, when I went to have the cotton packing and splint removed, I talked with the doctor and found out for the first time how many millimeters had been inserted. It was placed higher than I expected, and looking back now, I wonder if I should have said before surgery that I didn’t need the nasal tip raised much, so I didn’t want silicone above a certain number of millimeters in the nasal bridge. I’m in my 3rd year after surgery, and I have no side effects at all. I’m very satisfied from the front, but from the side I really look like Pinocchio, so it bothers me and I’m thinking of removal …
