I used silicone for the nasal bridge, ear cartilage, septal cartilage, and costal cartilage like this. I wondered why they used so many materials. They said they would use ear cartilage, and if it wasn’t enough, they would use costal cartilage, but then they said donor costal cartilage was used. They said they wouldn’t know until they opened it up, so I had surgery using a lot of materials. But after using silicone for the nasal bridge, at 4 months post-op it felt so uncomfortable and stiff, so I went to the hospital, and they said it seemed like silicone didn’t suit me. Now, up to 8 months, aside from some pain and a stinging, stiff feeling, I don’t have any other symptoms. I think I’ll probably have to get my nose done again...
