I had a consultation about removal because of cartilage showing through, and since I’m doing it anyway, I’m thinking of removing all the silicone too. But they said it’s possible to leave the septal support strut in place and do it with a closed approach, so I’m conflicted. If I remove everything, I’m worried it’ll look too spread out I’m not removing it because I have contracture or inflammation, so I’m debating whether to have the surgery or not. Should I leave it alone a bit longer? If I remove it, does everyone go through a contraction phase? Could it become a problem if I keep having the cartilage showing through?
