I don't have an ID, so I'm posting with my friend's ID. I wrote it like some kind of title ㅡㅡㅋ It has been 3 months since I had retruded chin surgery. The result is very disappointing... Looking at my symptoms.. 1. My face looks long. - My chin length was not short to begin with.. my mouth protruded, so my chin looked relatively small, but after advancing the chin forward, my face looks long. This part is important. The general opinion is that if someone whose vertical chin bone length is not short has retruded chin surgery, the result is not good. Especially if the chin is not actually small, but the mouth protrudes so the chin relatively looks recessed, the prevailing opinion is that advancing the chin forward with retruded chin surgery cannot produce a good result. 2. The shape of the chin itself is strange. - They need to cut the chin tip and move it forward.. but if they cut too close to the tip, the cut piece is small, so there is said to be a risk that the bone may die. So they cut the middle area between the chin tip and the lip and move it forward.. but in my case, they cut too close to the lip, so the shape of my chin is strange. In other words, instead of the chin tip protruding slightly, the area right under the lip became a bulging protrusion. Also, people with small chins often have developed muscles in front of the chin and wrinkles there, and even after surgery when the chin protrudes, these wrinkles remain as they were. 3. My lip is numb. - My lower lip is still numb even now, 3 months later. The prevailing talk is that nerves do not recover 100 percent. They said they recover about 90 percent.. 4. The two sides have different shapes. - When I look in the mirror, the right side seems to have fused well without any gap in the bone.. But when I touch the left side with my hand, I can feel a space as if there is a gap between the bones. Now that the swelling has gone down, if I look closely.. the bone has fused slightly asymmetrically, so the left jawbone protrudes more. 5. I look 10 years older. - Instead of the chin becoming longer and the front of the chin protruding, the sides of the chin look relatively hollow... and above all, I lost cheek volume, so my whole face looks older. Regarding cheek volume, some doctors say the cheek fat gets pulled because the chin bone comes forward, and some doctors say the chin and cheek fat do not have a major effect on each other.. It differs by person, and in my case, it seems that as much as my chin came forward, my cheek fat was pulled, making my cheeks look sunken. 6. Slight memory decline I felt after general anesthesia.. - I have recovered a lot now.. but my head still does not feel as clear as before.. and right after surgery, I had forgetfulness. The hospital says retruded chin surgery is the surgery with the highest satisfaction, but I don't think that is true. The chin has a huge effect on the facial contour.. and it is a difficult surgery involving the lips, the muscles under the chin, and various nerves. They say it is the simplest and most satisfying surgery among facial contouring surgeries, but I do not think so. And in my case, I had my consultation with that hospital's doctor.. but after the surgery, I sensed an atmosphere where the consulting doctor seemed not to know well.. and I remember another doctor being next to me when I was lying on the operating table. When I went to have the stitches removed after surgery, the doctor quietly asked the nurse why the blood hose(?) or something had been done like this... I think if he had done the surgery himself, there is no way he would not know. Also, he could not really find the area where the bone had been cut.. This is very strange. So I wonder if someone else did the surgery on me for practice. Anyway, it is my guess. An anesthetized patient would not know.. I also suspect whether it was done with a laser. This is also just speculation, though. I had surgery at G L X near Gangnam Station. There did not seem to be many doctors... That doctor who is supposedly a facial contouring specialist is truly absurd. Now the atmosphere is like they are denying responsibility.. The person called the manager is also trying to somehow talk their way past it.. It is annoying in many ways. The other doctors at that hospital do not seem to get much criticism.. I'm annoyed that I happened to get that doctor. Also, I would appreciate advice from people who experienced this before me.. I will of course go around consulting myself too.. If anyone knows good hospitals or doctors for facial contouring or chin surgery, please share the information. No brokers, please.
