I had an incisional outfold double eyelid done 10 years ago. They removed too much fat. My first surgery was at an ophthalmology clinic, and 4 months later I wasn't satisfied, so I went to a plastic surgery clinic and had revision surgery (even though they said revision is only possible after 6 months, I insisted). At the age of just twenty, without knowing anything, without thinking it through, I just went and asked them to do it. Looking back now, I think I really put my body through too much.. I suffered so much too.. and the revision surgery also didn't turn out as expected. Even now I can't understand why I did that back then. I think fat was removed over the two surgeries, and anyway, I think they removed a lot. My face tended to swell easily, and I hated my puffy upper eyelids, so I asked them to remove a lot of fat. After that, as time passed and I got older, the fat naturally disappeared, and after having and raising a child, I lost weight, so my upper eyelids became sunken. I didn't know this would become another complex. Since they became deeply sunken, the thick double eyelid was fully exposed, making me look older, sleepy-eyed, and my eyes looked lacking in energy. While looking at many photos in this community, I kept thinking I would need to do it someday, and after waiting and waiting, I finally went into surgery a few days ago. Because it was my third surgery, I thought about it very carefully. I visited 2 places in Gangnam and 3 places in Apgujeong. The most important concern was what to do about my deeply sunken upper eyelids.. At 4 places, they suggested injecting fat into the sunken upper eyelids, and at 1 place, they suggested a dermal graft. Dermal grafting was unfamiliar to me, and it involved taking dermis from the buttock area and attaching it to the upper eyelid, so the process seemed complicated and the pain seemed like it would be twice as much, so I hesitated a lot. But in my case, they said the fat in my eyes was too depleted and the skin was also thin, so if fat were injected, the lumpiness would be severe. They said my eyes were not suitable for fat grafting. Also, fat supposedly lasts about 3 to 5 years, though it varies by person, and thinking about having to graft fat again later also felt troublesome... They said that if I had a dermal graft, it would be complicated and difficult at first, but because it is permanent, I wouldn't need to touch it again.. And they said dermal grafting is something doctors can't do unless they have a fair amount of experience.. Come to think of it, the 4 places all said they don't do dermal grafting.. At the end, I had two hospitals left and couldn't decide, but in the end I went to someone older with a lot of surgical experience and entrusted my eyes entirely to them. I had ptosis correction, lowered the high crease, and had a dermal graft.. They incised the skin on my buttock, took out the dermis, and stitched it up. I thought it would hurt a lot after the anesthesia wore off, you know? But it didn't hurt at all, which was really amazing. I woke up the next day and there was no pain at all, so when I went to the hospital the next day for treatment, I asked the manager, and she said the buttock area is originally less sensitive. ^^ Starting two days before surgery, I was so nervous that I kept sleeping poorly. Even on the day of surgery, it was scheduled for 7 p.m., but because patients were backed up, I went into surgery at 9:10 p.m. It took a total of 3 and a half hours. I came out after 1 a.m. and tried to get a taxi, but it was so hard to catch one.. I couldn't get a call taxi either.. I eventually shared a ride and came home. It was an extremely cold day, and I really thought I was going to freeze. I usually don't write this long, but as I wrote, it became really long.. Thank you for taking the trouble to read it. I also got a lot of information here during that time, so I posted this with gratitude to everyone. ~ If we always keep a bright heart, give thanks in everything, and live with a smiling face, flowers will bloom in our hearts and faces too, and we'll become prettier, right? Let's finish this year with smiles, and may everyone be happy in the coming new year too~ I'll post again after seeing how the swelling goes down.
