I live in Busan. Honestly, there are plenty of good places in Busan too. But my eldest aunt’s husband is in Gyeongju, and he said a friend of his graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine and runs a plastic surgery clinic. A cousin had her nose done there for 800,000 won, and it looked natural. Pretty too. So after the CSAT, I went for a consultation too. Right after the consultation ended, “If you want to do it, do you want to do it now?” He said that. So I said yes, that I’d like to. He said I don’t have fat in my eyes, but the skin is a bit stiff, so the double eyelid could become faint. But then he poked around my eye with something like a needle and said, “Still, the shape is pretty.” That’s what he said. Anyway, the surgery started. But he didn’t even tell me what method he was using [buried suture or incision], so I felt really frustrated and asked during the surgery, and he said he was doing it with the incisional method. After the surgery was all over, he didn’t give me any ice pack? Nothing like that at all. But after the CSAT, almost all the other kids had surgery too, and they all got ice packs. How are my eyes? It’s almost been two months now, and the red line is not much different from the very first day after surgery. And the double eyelids were made way too thick, the front of my eyes is completely lifted by about 0.5 mm, and at the outer corners there’s a long, obvious knife-scar-like line. When you look at me, it’s totally like, “She had surgery.” It’s obvious to that extent. Kids who had it done a month later than me look like they were born with their eyes. They say it depends on each person’s skin, but one girl’s eyes were really severe. Even the doctor said it would look very obvious she had surgery, but aside from swelling, she doesn’t have much of a red line and looks better than me. Since the nose surgery was 800,000 won, I thought eyes would be really cheap, but I paid 600,000 won for my eyes. My friend said there’s someone who had it done in Busan for 550,000 won. It’s not like I had epicanthoplasty, and it’s not like I had fat removed [my eyes weren’t small to begin with]; he just cut them. So it wasn’t even that cheap. Seriously, every time I pass by and see high school students’ eyes, I tear up. They had surgery much later than me and go around without glasses, but I still wear glasses. Whenever people ask, “When on earth is that red line on your eyes going to disappear?” I get so upset. [They just blurt things out because they have mouths] Apart from the red line itself, the eye shape is also really strange, and I seriously want revision surgery so badly. My mom scolds me because she spent money to get me surgery and I complain every day that I don’t like my eyes, and if the doctor were someone I didn’t know at all, I could just get angry and go complain, but he’s my eldest aunt’s husband’s friend, so I can’t even do that. I’m really upset. I’m working part-time now and saving money little by little. I’m thinking of getting revision surgery once I’m in university. Would that be a good choice? Still, I heard it takes about a year for the eyes to become your own, so I’m planning to wait about a year before surgery. And I don’t think my mom will give me money, so I’m going to use my own money. Not long after surgery, I found a part-time job, and it’s already been almost two months; even while going to school, I work part-time on weekends. I’m sure it differs by hospital, but I heard revision is more expensive than the first surgery. On average, about how much would it cost? Please tell me -_ㅠ Please......
