Now that it has been over 1 year since my cheekbone surgery....

I had cheekbone surgery and revision rhinoplasty. I was tolerating things somehow, and although the swelling lasted a long time, I was enduring it. But I kept feeling like the swelling was going down unevenly, so I asked the hospital, and they said swelling does not go down exactly the same on both sides... So I kept waiting and waiting, and even after about 3 months it was still uneven. I thought the swelling had not fully gone down yet, so I waited around 6 months, because the hospital said it would be completely gone by 6 months..... But the swelling completely went down, and yet one side of my face kept looking as if fat had been injected into it, while the other side was sunken in, as if it needed fat grafting. I kept thinking it was strange and finally went to the hospital to ask...... They said it was because the muscle on one side had atrophied.... They said this can usually happen with jaw surgery, but they had not seen this happen from cheekbone surgery. They said to wait another 6 months for now, and gave me Botox on only one side, since the two sides needed to look similar for the time being. And I got it on only one side once every 3 months,,, A year has passed now, but far from coming back, my face has continued to become more asymmetrical, and because of the stress I even quit my job. The hospital only says they do not know.... They had confidently said it would return within a year, but in the end they said they had insurance, so how about receiving compensation from there. At a large hospital, I had a CT scan and electromyography testing, and they told me that it has now become chronic and it would be difficult to return to the way it was. These days, hospitals take out insurance and then act as if they have washed their hands of it. It really makes me angry. I do not know whether they accidentally cut some part of the muscle during surgery or what happened, but for a patient who knows nothing, how painful that waiting period is....
