I lived my whole life with monolids, then decided to get double eyelid surgery at a later age, so I went around to several consultations. I have long eyes with a lot of eyelid fat and thick skin, and I went in thinking of a natural, low inline or in-out line rather than a very flashy style.
1. Apgujeong ㄱㅎㅅ - full incision + ptosis correction Single-director clinic. Visited through an acquaintance’s recommendation. The director was unique. He seemed to have clear personal standards and aesthetic criteria, and strong pride in his work. He seemed to pursue a natural and harmonious style. There was no separate consultation fee, and he consulted for about an hour while chatting about various things, which was quite fun haha His confidence made me want to trust him and leave it to him, but I’m still debating because I feel like his aesthetic standards are a bit different from mine. The price range is on the higher side.
2. Sinsa ㅈㄷ - non-incisional Single-director clinic. I visited because there were many reviews saying they are good at non-incisional double eyelid surgery and make it look natural. The consultation was short, within 10-15 minutes, but the director personally explained the surgical process and method in detail. Again, he seemed very proud and had clear views. But everywhere else recommended full incision + eye shape correction, and only this place told me to do non-incisional, so I was like ? It felt like the director has a fixed surgical approach he pursues... He said something like it looks natural and is easier to undo and redo later. The price was fixed, and it was neither cheap nor expensive.
3. Sinsa ㄹㅎ - full incision + ptosis correction There were way too many people. (Is this place popular these days?) Even though I had a reservation, I waited about an hour, so I got tired and annoyed. I went without designating a doctor, and maybe because they were busy, the consultation wasn’t detailed either. Pass.
