I had SMILE LASIK in 2024, and the clinic was always crowded. Maybe because I made an appointment before going to the SMILE LASIK center, even though there were many types of tests, I think everything was completed quickly and smoothly. During the consultation, they explained things kindly and clearly, and I liked that they thoroughly explained the side effects and precautions too. It was my very first time having this kind of surgery, so I was extremely nervous, but maybe because the doctor and nurse told me it was okay to relax, the surgery went well. After the surgery, I didn’t notice anything while the anesthesia hadn’t worn off, but once it did, my eyes kept tearing and it felt like there were some grains of sand in them. Still, after I came home and took a nap, it all disappeared. And what I liked about this clinic was that they performed the surgery well, and I was also very satisfied with how well they handled postoperative care. While I was receiving regular checkups, they said there was a slightly unusual area in my eye that was not related to the SMILE LASIK, so the doctor said they would schedule me with another department and told me to get it checked once. So I went to another department and got examined too. There was no major problem, and I thought this kind of response was very good. I could see that everyone was busy, but they were extremely kind. It has been almost a year and a half now, and the clinic has continued to provide regular ophthalmology checkups, my vision has not declined, and it is really good. I wore contact lenses and glasses my whole life, and because I didn’t want to show other people how I looked in glasses, when I couldn’t wear lenses I would go around squinting like ㅡㅡ. Thinking about it now, I wonder why I waited so long and didn’t do it sooner. It is the best surgery of my life.
