I had epicanthoplasty and natural adhesion double eyelid surgery 6 years ago, and the doctor who did my surgery went to another hospital. It was seriously the worst. The epicanthoplasty scar was left in a really severe hook shape, and the double eyelid is basically not even visible. It’s an inner double eyelid. From about one month after surgery, right after I had it done, I thought it was so thin that I would need revision surgery. I had surgery when I was a student and way too young, and it was a hospital I went to after looking at an app and getting lured in by brokers. Seriously, I waited 3 hours for the consultation and maybe had a 5-minute consultation? There are still a few things I remember. I woke up in the middle of surgery. I don’t know if it was the doctor or staff, but a male voice kept saying “ah, damn, ah, damn,” and it was incredibly irritating. After the surgery ended, they guided me to sit in a waiting chair and apply an ice pack. No matter how long I did the cold compress, nobody came to guide me, so I pressed the call button. I don’t know if it was a nursing assistant or coordinator, but they came while grumbling and complaining too. Sighing like crazy lololololol Why should I be treated like this when I’m paying my own money for surgery? lololololololol Writing this makes me angry again for the first time in a while. The time when I had my stitches removed overlapped with the Lunar New Year holiday, and the person removing the stitches mentioned that the epicanthoplasty scar was severe. But I don’t know if this hospital originally doesn’t check progress afterward, or if they forgot to schedule me that day, but after that stitch removal, there was no guidance to visit the hospital again. I was so young then that I thought after double eyelid surgery, once stitches were removed, you just don’t go back to the hospital anymore? lololol But normally, doesn’t the director check the line and follow up on progress? The staff were all just bad. Oh, and I never saw the person called my assigned manager even once on the day. After that, while having other surgeries, I felt it really was a factory-style hospital, and once you pay, it felt like “I don’t know, you handle it yourself.” Of course, this is a review from 6 years ago, so it may be different now.
