<Before surgery><2 weeks, bare face><After surgery>I just had ordinary monolid eyes, but when I was a student, I didn’t have money and my parents wouldn’t allow it, so I lived making double eyelids with double-eyelid glue I did that all throughout high school, so I used double-eyelid glue for almost 3 years…….. Because of that, my upper eyelid skin was already stretched out + my eye-opening strength was weak, you know? As soon as I became an adult, I got permission to get double eyelid surgery and went around to consultations. Big hospitals felt kind of scary.. and I heard that for a first surgery, a private clinic is better, so I mainly went to consultations at single-doctor clinics~~ The reason I had surgery here was, first of all, the consultation was really, really good. They first checked what parts I was concerned about, and when I said I wanted to make my double eyelids defined in an in-out line and also get canthoplasty, they said that rather than only doing lateral canthoplasty, doing lowering canthoplasty together would help it last better, and they also checked and explained the available space. And the consultant was seriously such a pro at empathizing When I said I was stressed because of this or that.. she listened to everything and actively helped so those issues could be resolved. The director was the same too!! So I had incisional double eyelid surgery with ptosis correction, and for canthoplasty I did epicanthoplasty, lateral canthoplasty, and lowering canthoplasty together...... Thinking about it now, it was such a good choice. Until the 1-month mark, I tried not to rub my eyes, and even when washing my face, I touched around my eyes really gently. Because it was incisional, there was quite a bit of swelling during weeks 1-2, and after the stitches were removed and I did some warm/cold compresses, it got better. The major swelling seemed to go down before 3 weeks, and even at the 1-month mark I went around wearing makeup, but the feeling when doing makeup with double-eyelid glue and after double eyelid surgery is completely different…. It’s so fascinating lol Some of the double-eyelid glue hadn’t even been opened, so it felt like a waste, but I threw it all away. The post-surgery photo was taken at the 1-month mark, and now it looks much more natural than that! The canthoplasty is also maintaining well without re-adhesion..... This is why checking the available space is important Even if I get surgery on another area in the future, I think I’ll only go to a professional place like this.
