Because of accessibility, I had only been going around the Sinnonhyeon/Gangnam area, but since I wasn’t sure, I went to Apgujeong for a consultation.
I was going to consultations because my nasal tip cartilage was showing through, and among the 8 places I visited, this was the only place that said surgery wasn’t urgent and asked whether I really needed to do it, telling me to consider and think about it more.
Just like the reviews said, the doctor’s style itself is chic. He consults while writing detailed handwritten notes directly on the chart, and I felt it was impressive.
He was the only one who mentioned removing the nasal tip cartilage with a closed approach, and the price was also cheaper than clinics in the Sinnonhyeon/Gangnam area.
When removing the nasal tip cartilage, he explained that the nasal tip could droop and look like a drooping nose, and that during the settling process, there is a possibility of nasal tip upturning, nostril show, or looking like an even more drooping nose.
After hearing this... I’m even more conflicted.
If I’m debating removal, he also explained the revision surgery method.. but left all choices up to me.
He said that for revision rhinoplasty, the patient’s needs are the most important, depending on how much they want the problem resolved..
I’m only getting more deeply conflicted.
Still, I was satisfied with the consultation because I prepared enough questions, asked them step by step, and heard the explanations. Consultation fee 10,000 won. There is no dermatologic post-surgery aftercare.
