Because my concern was that my eyes looked stuffy, I had incisional lateral and lower canthoplasty for corrective purposes. What I considered most during surgery was the doctor’s skill. The most important thing was avoiding the typical side effects people often mention, such as a ㄷ-shaped outer corner, inability to smile with the eyes, looseness, eye irritation, unnaturalness, and so on. I absolutely did not want eyes where anyone could tell, “Oh, they had lateral and lower canthoplasty!” I wanted eyes that changed naturally, but even though all the clinics I visited were said to be famous, some seemed to treat me simply as a way to add one more surgery review. In other places, the doctor seemed too eager to make incisions, or it didn’t match my needs at all, or they excessively pushed other surgeries too, so there were many things that bothered me. This was the only place where nothing particularly bothered me. So I trusted the doctor and left it to them. Since it’s the day of surgery, it’s hard to speak too soon about the effect, but it ended cleanly without any major problems, and I still don’t have much discomfort, so I’m satisfied because it seems to have gone better than I worried it would.
