About 6 months ago, I had non-incisional ptosis correction and fat grafting to the eyelids.
My eyes felt uncomfortable, so after 3 weeks I had the non-incisional ptosis correction undone.
Both the original surgery and the reversal surgery were done under sedation anesthesia.
After undoing the non-incisional ptosis correction, the eye discomfort and headaches improved,
but after more than 2 months, the areas where fat had been grafted into my eyelids started to form lumps.
I developed a foreign-body sensation and dry eyes.
The hospital only told me to wait, and later only mentioned steroid injections.
It didn’t get better over time, and I was worried that steroid injections might not be good either.
They took fat from my thighs for the eyelid fat grafting, and my thighs became uneven and bumpy.
They told me to wait for that too and said they would do radiofrequency treatment. I had it once, but there was no effect.
It seemed like this hospital had no solution, so I asked for a refund.
They only refunded the fat grafting portion. Out of 1.5 million won, the fat grafting was 550,000 won.
I regretted it after receiving it.. They made me sign a written agreement, so I can’t mention the hospital name.
After that, the unevenness in my thighs still didn’t improve, and the eye discomfort got worse.
I went around to many places, including university hospitals, but they said removing the grafted fat was too difficult and did not recommend it.
I visited 15 places, and 3 said surgery was possible, so among them I chose a director with a lot of experience removing fat grafts.
After the surgery, I was told, “How did they graft fat here?” They said it was attached near the orbital bone, so it was difficult to remove.
The removal cost 3.5 million won, and I now have a scar on my eye.
I left a post for the hospital that did the fat grafting, but there was no reply. I regret taking that refund so much, that measly 550,000 won.
There’s no change in the unevenness of my thighs.
Going to that hospital is something I’ll regret for the rest of my life. I had never even thought about fat grafting, but I went there for double eyelid surgery and did it because they said it was a simple procedure. I was out of my mind.
