I already had double eyelids, but they were not very noticeable, so I decided to have surgery, and I had the surgery in July using the buried-suture method. This is my review at the 1-month mark. Until 1 week after surgery, there was a lot of bruising under my eyes, and by week 2, all the bruising had moved down toward the lower part of my face. Eye swelling was quite severe until week 2, then started to go down little by little in week 3. I am also very grateful for the surgical result, because compared with my eyes before surgery, they raised the double eyelid height as noticeably as possible within what could be done for my eyes. The swelling still needs to go down more, but my eyes look bigger than before and the double eyelids show well, so I am very satisfied.
