<Before surgery 1><Day of surgery><Day 8><Day 15><Week 3><Month 1><Month 1 makeup + app><Week 3 makeup + app>Hello everyone, it’s finally been one month since I had natural adhesion double eyelid surgery hehe. I’m so happy that I can finally write a proper review!
First, to start with the conclusion, after getting double eyelid surgery, I feel more confident even with a bare face, and doing makeup has become so fun hehe. I kept getting the urge to get double eyelid surgery periodically, so I thought about it and eventually did it, and I like it hehe. I thought it might help, so I’ll leave a detailed record of my one-month journey!
1. During in-person consultations I went to several places. At first, I wanted naturally pretty eyes with a semi-out line, so I mainly visited clinics known for creating more glamorous eyes. But overall, they recommended an in-out line, and after visiting clinics, doing more online research, and reading more community posts, my desired look suddenly changed hehe;; (I guess this shows the importance of both online and in-person research)
I wanted something that suited me and looked natural, and I wanted to minimize what was altered. After looking into a few more clinics that matched these needs, I ultimately received only natural adhesion surgery from Director Lee Hanbyeol at EyeTing Plastic Surgery! When you go around for consultations, I think there’s a clinic that makes you feel, “This is the one.” I recommend continuing consultations until you feel certain, and also looking up reviews carefully!!
2. Why I decided on the clinic before surgery The first reason was that my aesthetic sense matched the director’s. What I kept telling the director was, “I don’t want round eyes” hahaha. My original eyes were a bit sharp-looking? and the outer corners were lifted, so I didn’t want my eyes to suddenly become overly round. I felt like it would change my original image too much.. But the director’s style is slightly to extend the outer corners without making them look closed off, and I really liked that hahaha.
The second reason was swelling and bruising. No matter how much I thought, “I won’t be sensitive,” I felt like I’d get mentally stressed if the swelling or bruising were severe, so I wanted to receive surgery from a director who would keep swelling and bruising as minimal as possible. In that sense too, Director Lee Hanbyeol was the best choice for me haha. Even though the swelling was minimal, I still worried about when it would all go down, so personally, when choosing a clinic, I think it’s good not to look only at successful photos from several months later, but also to check early post-op photos if available. When it’s your own eyes, even a small thing that bothers you keeps catching your attention..
The third reason was the clinic system, should I call it that? I don’t know how it was for other people who had surgery here, but when I visited EyeTing Plastic Surgery, I was almost immediately taken in for consultation, and the flow from the consultant to the director to the consultant again was so smooth with no waiting in between, which I liked.. hehe It just didn’t feel like a factory, should I say..? Actually, even on the day of surgery, changing clothes, final consultation, and going into the operating room all proceeded step by step with almost no waiting time hehe. I’m not sure about people who get consultations or surgery on weekends I had both my consultation and surgery on weekday mornings!
I wrote why I chose this clinic because I felt that, at the very least, if you choose a clinic and director for surgery, there should be points that give you this level of confidence. So I think people going around for consultations should consider things like this when choosing a clinic!
3. After surgery On the first day, I was glad the bruising and swelling weren’t too severe hehe. I pulled a big hat down low, wore glasses, took public transportation, and went home haha. And I think the major swelling all went down within a week! At around 2 weeks, I thought all the swelling was completely gone, but compared to now at one month, the line height isn’t very different, though it seems a bit more natural. I think it’ll probably go down little by little for another month! I hope it becomes more natural quickly hehe.
I’m really satisfied because I feel like my original eyes and my current line suit each other so well Since the line feels like it extends toward the back, it also seems easier to lengthen the eyes with eyeliner when doing makeup, and people around me tell me the line came out well and looks pretty, so I’m really happy hehe.
These days, even looking up new makeup videos is fun, and taking selfies is fun too hahaha. I’m also going to take a new ID photo next month hehe.
