Honestly, when you really think about it, the doctor is also responsible for not explaining things properly, but it was also my own fault for deciding on surgery without thinking carefully enough, and for going into the operating room and having surgery without really knowing anything. Now that it has been 4 months, I’m starting to get angry, so I’m writing this to raise awareness for everyone. Everyone, the first thing you need to think about when getting surgery is the worst-case scenario. Surgery absolutely does not mean everyone becomes prettier. If there is something you gain, there is definitely, without question, something you lose as well. Even for people whose surgery went well, it went well because what they lost was not too big. Because of things like how much extra skin they had, the harmony of their facial features, and so on. But once people realize they have lost a lot, they immediately start deeply regretting the result of the surgery. But even if you regret it, it’s too late, right? You can’t turn it back, right? From then on, the self-torment begins. Even though I have had countless failures, since other people don’t see any major problem, I had just been living with a certain level of satisfaction, and after learning the reality of plastic surgery, I tried to love my natural appearance as much as possible. But I lost my sense of caution again for a moment and thought the dark circles under my eyes would be okay, trusted the doctor who said, “There will absolutely be no change to your eye shape,” and did something ignorant again.. Everyone.. when getting surgery, don’t trust doctors’ words unconditionally. This is their livelihood. It’s a way for them to “make money.” So treat the doctor’s words as reference only, always stay skeptical, and research a lot over a sufficient period of time. Filter community posts as much as possible too. If you look through the comments even a little, they’re full of brokers. Now I can see brokers so clearly. They stand out.. Anyway, thank you for reading the long introduction, and I’ll talk about repositioning. I did not have fat removed, only under-eye fat repositioning. And additionally, I had something like muscle strengthening? Something like that done as well. At first, my eyes looked very fox-like, so I struggled emotionally for more than 2 months. But the hospital only looks at the “under-eye” area. They don’t care what happened to my eye shape.. They treat you like, “Your under-eye area is clean now, so what’s the problem? Your mental state is the issue.” At least in my case, the consultant comforted me a lot, so I was somewhat comforted, but honestly, if even the consultant had been forceful, I think it would have been even harder. And the fox-like eyes.. They said they would return, but I’m now 4 months post-op.. and they have not completely returned. My eye shape has subtly changed. I can feel it so much. But people say it gets better with time, right? It may really have returned for some people, but otherwise, with time, wounds always heal, and because the skin has a tendency to return to its original place, it usually tries to come back looking similar. And once your eyes get used to it, right? It looks okay. But for people like me who are sensitive and feel even one small thing very strongly, your eye shape definitely changes. Without question.. And they say the under-eye fullness won’t disappear, right? That they don’t touch the aegyo-sal area.. But you know.. as the under-eye area is flattened out, the aegyo-sal area is affected a little too. So the aegyo-sal doesn’t disappear completely, but compared with how I looked when my eyes were normally open, I experience it as the aegyo-sal being somewhat reduced. That’s exactly why people say, “They said they didn’t touch my aegyo-sal, but it disappeared.” And the most important thing is, they say the eye shape won’t change, but honestly, to make the under-eye area flat, they put the fat inward. Then the fat that used to support my eyeball goes inward, and the muscle is repositioned, so how could the eye shape.. not change? That’s why people say after repositioning > my aegyo-sal disappeared, my eyes got smaller. This is all the reason ........... But hospitals don’t explain this. So please never think of it as a simple surgery. Only people who are okay with the change, who can accept the risks as long as their current dark circles disappear, should do it, please.. Please don’t be fooled by hospitals..
흐림이 Where did you get it done?? If they put the fat inward, is it ㅅㅍㄹㅅ?? I had a consultation there, and that method seemed strange..
브로커꺼져 [@Heurimi] It’s not the hospital you mentioned. And wherever you go, they put the fat inward.
Reader 3 [@] I was told at ㅅㅍㄹㅅ that they would put it under the eyeball area, so I was startled and brought it up with another doctor at a different lower eyelid surgery clinic, and he said, "These days doctors, geez, there are all kinds of methods now." It really feels like they are promoting it as if they developed some new method just to make money. That newly aired encore laser case with the strabismus issue was the same.
반디별 [@Hrim] I’m the same way - other places all pull things downward, but Dr. ㅅㅍㄹㅅ moved to another place, so I got a consultation there, and they said they push the fat inward... . I was uneasy about the method, so I decided to do it at another clinic
맥주맘 I’m looking around to get lower eyelid surgery, but now I’m worried.. May I ask which hospital you had it at?
Reader 6 This is a private post.
엄 You must have had such a hard time But under-eye fat repositioning is like that too, and all surgeries really depend on the doctor’s skill.. Please research a lot. If you look into revision surgery, make sure to find out through an acquaintance’s recommendation at a single-doctor clinic.. Usually, large hospitals or even some single-doctor clinics that are blacklisted only try to protect their own profits and absolutely do not look at overall harmony.
익명 [@] I really agree with this. Even when surgery goes wrong because of the hospital’s fault, there are many cases where they see patients only as a way to make money, such as demanding anesthesia fees and revision surgery fees.
브로커꺼져 [@] Single-doctor clinics are the same. They just pay a little more attention.
익명 [@] What I meant was to go to a single-doctor clinic where the doctor is truly veteran-level, or has been in one place for 20-30 years, with absolutely no broker advertising. + A place that is not listed on those plastic surgery ad/community apps and sites,, My family members paid revision-surgery-level prices for their first surgeries, but both their eyes and noses turned out well and have been fine for over 15 years. I have no intention of recommending the hospital (I’m not a broker). I’m just leaving this because I feel bad Even though it’s hard, anyway.. please research a lot. The results change dramatically depending on the hospital and the doctor’s skill. Doctors are not all the same. The difference in skill is really enormous.

사사서사수소사 Oh dear... you really went through a lot. This really doesn't seem like something to take lightly as a simple surgery. And it's awful that the doctors don't properly explain the side effects either.
ckdm Wow, I was looking into lower eyelid fat repositioning, but I had no idea about this part. I thought there were only benefits, but there are side effects and individual differences too, so I need to look into it carefully.....

브로커꺼져 [@소름끼친키친] It would be better to get filler instead..... If you don’t like it, you can at least reverse filler.
멍뭉잉융 I had been thinking about lower eyelid surgery because of the hollows under my eyes, but now I know I should never take it lightly. As expected, plastic surgery has to be approached carefully, no matter how big or small the procedure is.
곽두팔19 I’m also considering lower eyelid surgery, so I didn’t know cases like this existed.

햄찌최고 I've honestly had lower eyelid fat bags since I was very young... if you picture it like Admiral Yi Sun-sin's under-eye area on a 100-won coin, that's the idea... it's genetic, so my whole family looks that way... of course I never had any cute under-eye fat After lower eyelid surgery, I was very satisfied just with the front of my face becoming flatter, and my eye shape didn't really change. But for people who had cute under-eye fat and didn't have a big flaw like I did, I think the result could be different. Honestly, unless you have a clear feature you really want improved like I did, it seems better not to touch the face.
닉넴멀로하지 Oh no that must be really emotionally exhausting
배뽈록넙치 Yes, same here. My aegyo-sal disappeared and my right eye became subtly turned outward. The eye shape changed subtly. It has been almost 7 years since I had it done, and even now my aegyo-sal still has not come back.
Reader 87 Has the eye shape not returned to normal even after 7 years?
나짱오 I thought under-eye fat repositioning was completely simple... but your eye shape changed too? That must be so upsetting.
시온맘미 So many people say under-eye fat repositioning is just a procedure, too.. That must be upsetting
성코하리라 Could I ask which clinic you had it done at??
도트x It was a complex I’ve had since I was little, so I made up my mind and had it done this year. I also saw a lot of side effects like changes in eye shape and even strabismus, but I had the surgery without researching that deeply. Right now I’m about 5% dissatisfied, and everything else is fine. During the consultation, I wrote down questions like whether the aegyo-sal would disappear and whether my eye shape would change, and asked them one by one, along with the look I was aiming for. The doctor said that if someone who cannot do the surgery does it, those side effects or symptoms can appear, and that it can also affect people a little depending on their eyes. At first I had a slight fox-eye look, and the lower line changed from my original eye, so I was very worried (my eyes also got smaller;) But around 3 to 4 months in, I could see my eyes gradually returning, so I stopped worrying much, and now it’s been 8 months since the surgery (it’s normal now!) The recovery speed differs from person to person, and swelling varies a lot too. Recovery speed also depends on the surgical method the doctor uses. Since it’s right under the eyes, it is indeed a risky surgery. But if it’s been 4 months, it should be around the time you’d see some recovery, so that must be upsetting I’ve also heard that people get revision surgery when they get older, so maybe try going to another clinic and asking them to take a look. + After the surgery I tried to do warm compresses often, carried a mini humidifier to work, and managed the swelling by drinking two packets a day (I visited the clinic once for swelling management as well. I didn’t have to go, but I made an appointment and visited because I was worried and wanted them to check the progress).
브로커꺼져 [@Dotx] I'm jealous that yours went back to normal The place I had surgery at was famous and was a very specialized hospital..
Reader 93 [@Get rid of brokers] To be honest, I don’t really want to recommend the clinic I went to^-^ I’m not sure why, but I remember the surgery taking longer than the original operating time, and that part left me a bit uneasy.. I don’t know much about how professional they are, but they were known to be good at it.
Reader 94 I'm curious where you had it done.
소끼 [@dotx] Doctor, I live in the provinces and have been looking around everywhere. I am also planning to have my first surgery, so I want to research carefully. Could I ask you for the initials or the name of the hospital where you had the surgery??
브로커꺼져 [@] Which places did you look into? But.. rather than the existence of the hospital or not, I’m just writing about the purpose of this surgery, so no matter which hospital you go to, if you didn’t lose very little to begin with, the result of the surgery is honestly hard to avoid or will be similar.

비노비노 They do lower eyelid fat repositioning a lot these days, so I think I need to think carefully about it Especially if you take it too lightly, it really seems like you shouldn’t. Thanks for sharing your experience
고랴니 I've been deliberating about under-eye correction for years, and I didn't know this.. Maybe I should think about it more, or should I do hyal filler instead..? Sigh I hope you get back to normal as soon as possible. Thanks for letting us know!
youj Under-eye repositioning has been getting a lot of attention lately.....thanks for the useful information
임고뿌셔 Seriously, you can't trust what the hospital says or what the doctor says. After you pay and after the surgery, they suddenly change their story completely. And if you complain, they always make the patient out to be overly sensitive or mentally ill, so from the start you should choose the best hospital you can and check other reviews to see whether aftercare and consultations are smooth after surgery. And absolutely do not trust the doctor blindly... Just like you would not believe every word from a salesperson for insurance, cars, or phones, you should not blindly trust a plastic surgeon either. In fact, it is an even bigger decision than buying a car or a phone, and you cannot undo it.
Oiad These days a lot of people get it done, so I thought it was a simple surgery, but after reading your post I am thinking a lot... I hope you recover well
미인이되고싶 Wow, I didn’t have aegyo-sal anyway... I’ve actually been worrying about this lately,,! Thank you for sharing this info It’s such a huge help for a cosmetic surgery beginner I really hope it goes back to how it was Thanks for sharing..
브로커꺼져 You all asked a lot about hospitals in the comments, but in fact the important thing is not which hospital it is, because I was writing about the position on this surgery itself, so honestly no matter which hospital you go to, the phenomenon will be similar. So rather than information about the hospital, please make sure you understand the purpose of this surgery accurately when reading this post. No matter which hospital you go to, the result of surgery depends on the individual case. In my case, it was a famous hospital for this procedure..
