My nasal tip is on the round and blunt side, so I always apply heavy contouring on the tip ㅠㅠ To be honest, I don’t really have a nasal bridge either, but I thought it would be nice if just the tip became higher and slimmer, so while looking into non-open nasal tip surgery, it seemed like ㄷㅌㅁ’s Nose Beam was famous! But the reviews for ㄷㅌㅁ were so bad that I decided to book a consultation first! First of all, the first thing that really annoyed me before going was that I booked a consultation through the website, first for 12 o’clock, then changed it to 4 o’clock, right? But at first I got a text saying it was booked for 12, but I didn’t get any text for the changed time.. So I wondered if it hadn’t been changed and called, and they said they originally don’t send texts;; Then what was the first text, and if they don’t send a booking text, how am I supposed to know whether the booking is confirmed or not,,? It was so ridiculous.. And I had even left a request to change the booking to 4:30, but the booking was made for 4..?^^^^ First irritation;; Then on the day of the consultation, I was on my way and thought I might be a little late, so I called to let them know, and they said there was no booking..? Second irritation…ㅎ… just pure confusion,.. After searching? a few times, they said oh, there is one, and that I could come… but before even going, it felt like their system was not organized at all, so I really didn’t trust them much;; I’ve booked consultations at other hospitals too, and when I left a consultation booking request on other websites, they called and asked in advance about previous procedure history, preferred director, desired procedure, and so on, you know..? But here;;; they couldn’t even properly manage one consultation booking, so yeah;; Anyway, somehow I went for the consultation, and after sitting and waiting for over 20 minutes, I started getting annoyed and was about to get up thinking I’d just not have surgery here, and that’s when they called me..ㅎ I consulted with the consultation manager first, and she was kind! She explained the surgical method for the surgery I wanted (Nose Beam), said my nasal bridge bone is wide so osteotomy would make it look slimmer, but it didn’t look absolutely necessary, and since my nostrils don’t show a lot, I probably wouldn’t need nostril lowering, etc.! I said I didn’t want to put in an implant and only wanted my nose to look slimmer, so she didn’t overly recommend this and that, and only talked about Nose Beam! Since the consultation manager isn’t a doctor anyway, we talked roughly, then Director ㅊㅈㅎ came in for the consultation. Before the director came, the manager said Director ㅊㅈㅎ would probably recommend inserting MegaDerm if possible, right? Anyway, when he came in, he of course? talked about Nose Beam + inserting 4 mm MegaDerm, and showed me how my nose shape would look if I did it, but he was very, how should I put it.. he talked quickly and used informal speech, so he didn’t really seem like someone who was okay as a person..? But well, I didn’t come to meet a person, so if his skills are good, then whatever.. To write down a few things I asked the director: 1. Does MegaDerm get absorbed? 10-30%, depending on the person. If 4 mm is inserted, about 3 mm will remain. 2. Can MegaDerm be removed later? Of course it can. (I saw in other posts that it’s difficult, but the director said of course it’s possible.. so there’s no way to knowㅠ) 3. My skin is on the thin side, so won’t MegaDerm show through? If that’s the case, it can be placed a bit more inside the nose? under the skin? But that usually doesn’t happen. 4. Should filler be dissolved before the procedure? The remaining filler is around the glabella, and from what he can see now, there doesn’t seem to be any remaining filler on the nasal tip side, so it doesn’t need to be dissolved. In any case, the procedure is mainly focused on the nasal tip. If filler comes out through the hole during the procedure, it can be removed while doing the procedure. 5. After surgery, won’t the nose look pinched or upturned? He said he won’t tie it so tightly that it looks pinched, and there are noses that look upturned, but mine is not that kind of nose. I think that’s about what I remember..! And they told me to get Nose Beam + MegaDerm and also alar reduction? together, but honestly I’m not interested in that,, and since my nostrils don’t show that much, they didn’t particularly recommend nostril lowering either. And the long-awaited price! Based on Nose Beam + MegaDerm, if I only provide nose photos it’s 1.8 million won, if I provide nose + mouth photos it’s 1.6 million won, and if I provide face-revealed photos with only the eyes covered (silhouette), it’s 1.4 million won! Oh, and local anesthesia is possible too, but if I want sedation anesthesia, I can do that, and normally it’s 100,000 won but they said they’d provide it as a service! They said there’s no recovery period or disinfection needed, the surgery ends in 15 minutes so there’s no need to come back, and I can come back about a month later? to check the progress. No splint, and for taping, I can remove it myself after 3 days. So it seems perfect for office workers.. but for now I think I need to do more footwork and think about itㅠㅠ There aren’t tons of reviews like with regular rhinoplasty,, As a side note, one of my friends had only nasal cartilage tying done through an open approach somewhere else, and because her skin was thick, she said literally nothing changed and she only got a scarㅜㅜ I saw it in person too, and really nothing had changed… So anyone planning nasal cartilage tying should definitely check their skin thickness and get a consultation,,! I’m going to get more consultations at other hospitals and with Director Ha at ㄷㅌㅁ before deciding!! If anyone knows other hospitals famous for non-open procedures or has reviews from people who had non-open nasal tip surgery, I’d be so grateful if you could let me know in the commentsㅜㅜㅜ
