Nose Surgery Reviews

I had surgery so my bulbous nose wouldn’t look unnatural

I used to often hear things like, “You’d look so much better even if you just got your nose done,” and since I also had really bad nasal congestion, I decided to get surgery to address both the aesthetic and functional aspects while I was at it. I felt like if I went somewhere that only did functional nose surgery, they might not be able to shape my nose in a trendy way.. So I searched a lot on cosmetic surgery apps and went to a place that was good at both functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty. My nose wasn’t originally that low, so a lot of hospitals that do very natural-looking surgery actually tended to say we should leave the shape alone and only do functional nose surgery. From my perspective, my nose looked too long and the tip was droopy, so it stressed me out because it made me look like I had a bulbous/old-man nose; so I found a place that met all the conditions I wanted. For the surgery, I had functional nose surgery together with silicone, septal cartilage, and donated costal cartilage. The director here also said there was no need to raise the bridge too excessively, so only 2 mm of silicone was used, and the surgery focused on raising the nasal tip. And what I liked most about the consultation here was that the director explained the nasal tip shape in real detail. It wasn’t simply, “We just need to raise the tip.” They explained in detail how the nasal tip needed to be corrected and why those materials had to be used. My septal cartilage wasn’t exactly small, but since my bridge was already quite high, they said using only septal cartilage wouldn’t be enough, so donated costal cartilage was used together.. When I think that if it weren’t for that, I might have had surgery with only septal cartilage and then had my tip droop again, it gives me chills. The recovery period after surgery was a bit hard, but now I really think I made the right decision getting the surgery. Oh, after getting my nose done, I went back to work right after the splint was removed, and I did all normal daily activities. I only avoided exercise in the beginning, so keep that in mind.

This review is a surgery review pursuing a natural-yet-defined look.
