Last year, I went around to about 11 places for consultations, and I wasn't trying to debut or anything, but unintentionally paying money to have my face evaluated and continuing to judge myself made me hit a reality check.. hehe lololololol I'm also really timid, so I couldn't make a proper decision, and I ended up thinking, let's just put it off a bit, and delayed it for almost a year! Then recently, I saw photos of myself that someone else took, and I got so stressed out. I'm also job hunting, and I felt like if I don't do it now, I don't know when I'll be able to once I start working, so I just went ahead and booked consultations at about three places. One of them was Le J!
First, last year I had a consultation with the chief director at B&Young, and although I didn't fully understand the consultation, it also felt like they were saying to just trust them and follow along. I have a low nasal bridge that would require an implant, but the review photos of implant nose lines done by the doctor were slightly different from my style, so I put it on hold. Then recently, while looking into it again, I saw reviews I liked for Director Kim Ji-sun, who had been an associate director, searched around, and went to Le J, which I heard she newly opened.
— *No consultation fee
• Waiting: Maybe because it was a weekday, I was the only patient, but after the consultation with the consultant, there was a total waiting time of about 25 to 30 minutes. They said the doctor was having some kind of company meeting? I think.
• CT: I didn't take one. I don't think they have the machine. I have slight rhinitis symptoms, but they aren't severe, and another hospital had said I had a deviated nasal septum, so I asked whether it was okay not to take a CT. The doctor wore a light? on the head, opened my nostrils, checked visually, and just said it seemed fine not to do one! Maybe there is no consultation fee because they don't take a separate CT!
• Anesthesiologist on site: I asked, and they said there isn't one separately. They said that because the surgery is done under sedation anesthesia, not general anesthesia, it isn't something that is absolutely required!
• Whether real-time CCTV viewing is available: They said real-time viewing is not available, and I think they said that if a surgical issue occurs later, you can view the recorded footage.
• Materials: They said my ear cartilage is on the smaller side, so both ears would need to be used! The doctor didn't recommend it, but I said that my low nasal bridge stresses me out, so I want to use silicone! According to the consultant, the millimeters would be decided during surgery, but maybe because the doctor's aesthetic is natural and I also want that, they usually do 1-2 mm, and even if they do a lot, it would be 3 mm! Even if it's 3 mm, they shave it in the middle to fit, so they said you can generally think of it as -0.5 mm.
• Consultation with the director: The director seemed to avoid flashy or artificial styles. I also came to this doctor because my desired aesthetic is natural. In the middle, they showed me with Photoshop that it would be this kind of feel, and it felt like silicone of really almost 1 mm..? was inserted? I think it would look extremely natural. But if you want something dramatic, the direction may be a bit different. I asked whether there would be a step-off or translucency, and the doctor said they extremely dislike those things. But since I don't know how that part will turn out later, I moved on. I thought of myself as having a bulbous nose, but they said it wasn't that, and that it was because the bone position is a bit wide, so they suggested cartilage tying. There were many reviews mentioning cartilage tying, so I was also curious whether it was prescribed appropriately for me. The method would be closed rhinoplasty, and they said silicone can also be done closed. It's not a columellar incision, but an incision inside the nostril, so I see the biggest advantage as not leaving a visible scar.
— The advantages I saw: : The scar seems like it will barely show. : Returning to daily life seems faster than expected. : The chance of it looking artificial seems lower than at other hospitals.
The disadvantages I saw: : The doctor seems on the conservative side, so it may be uncertain whether I'll get as much of an after-result as I want. : Since they don't take a separate CT, I have some concerns about whether there could be a step-off or other issues later.
— The cost is: -Regular price is 2.5 million won, but with a review event it becomes 1 million won (-1.5 million) -Because both sides of ear cartilage need to be used: 1.8 million won -If silicone is used: 1 million won -10% VAT separate -Sedation anesthesia, etc. all included => 4.18 million won
