I had incisional double eyelid surgery in February last year, and I asked them to make it really high, but they said they wouldn’t make it high there. So I just told them to do whatever they thought was best, but it ended up being so low that even my friends were saying, “At that point, isn’t it an inner double eyelid?” So even after surgery, I kept wearing double eyelid tape.
Then I had revision surgery in May this year. But from the start, even though my line was low, it looked like a sausage line, so I said I wanted to get rid of that. But they said it didn’t look sausage-like and just suggested raising the line. At the time, I was mostly only focused on raising the line anyway, and all the clinic reviews were good, so I decided to just raise the line.
Even when they were marking the line, I wanted it higher, but they said that would be too much and that this height was appropriate, so I went with it. But it didn’t look very different from before. Still, the line had gone up a little, so I just lived without thinking much about it.
It’s now been a little over 4 and a half months since my revision surgery, and this time a friend who also had an incisional revision is at 2 months post-op, but her eyes look even less obviously operated on than mine. Her line was higher than mine too, but it looks really clean. But I have a lot of scar tissue, and the old line is still swollen only in that area, like a sausage. When I squint, it wrinkles exactly along the old line, and it’s so stressful Should I get a second revision?
