Eye Surgery Reviews

Consultation review!!

Please note that I went to a total of 4 places, but it was quite a while ago, so I don’t remember the details very well.. What I wanted was a dramatic outline double eyelid, or if that wasn’t possible, a semi-out line. My inner double eyelids would be dark, light, or not visible depending on their mood, so my eye size would change. I don’t have ptosis. I do have an epicanthal fold, but my lacrimal caruncle is somewhat visible. I was told my eyes would look pretty if I got double eyelid surgery. 1. ㅈㅇㅌ It’s really famous and the reviews were good, so I went once. It was the only place that didn’t recommend ptosis correction! They said an outline wasn’t possible, but a semi-out line was, and they didn’t say epicanthoplasty was mandatory either, just suggested it as something to consider. The price wasn’t bad, and the consultant was kind, so I liked it, but I lost the business card 2. ㅇㅂㅅ They had an anesthesiologist and the reviews weren’t bad, so I went! I went thinking of the event price of 490,000 won, but they said ptosis correction and epicanthoplasty were mandatory, an outline was absolutely impossible, and even if I did it, only an in-out line would be possible. Options kept getting added. The final price was way over my budget, so I just passed. 3. ㄸㅋ This place also had a lot of reviews, so I went, but maybe because everyone had such impressive experience, if I did everything they recommended, the price was beyond imagination, so I just left.. 4. ㄷㄷㅇ The doctor had good experience and it was a one-doctor clinic, so I went once, but I didn’t feel like they examined me as thoroughly as I expected. They pinched my eyelid once and said an outline wasn’t possible, ptosis correction was mandatory, and epicanthoplasty was needed. The price range was reasonable if you included the event price + review discount and so on, and the consultant said there would be a discount if I booked that day, etc., so I was persuaded and made a reservation, but in the end I canceled and didn’t go. Also, here I felt like I talked more with the consultant than with the doctor.. Back then, I didn’t even look into side effects or whether I had ptosis, and I just thought, oh I see, it’s mandatory, but when I looked into it, they said I don’t have ptosis I mean, I’d been going to ophthalmology clinics since I was little, so if I had it, they would’ve told me... It’s really best to go in knowing for sure whether you have ptosis or not, and even if a clinic says you need canthoplasty, I think it’s best to look up all the possible side effects before going! I was a bit shocked because all the famous places were like that These days the basic combo seems to be ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty + non-incisional double eyelid surgery (incisional), but seriously, don’t just go to 3-4 places, go to more. If it weren’t for ㅈㅇㅌ, I would’ve thought ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty were mandatory. Also, record the consultation if possible, and for places that take a reservation deposit, reservation deposits are definitely refundable (legally possible), so if it’s 10,000-20,000 won maybe whatever, but if it’s over 100,000 won, get it back!! Also, most places with event prices don’t let you designate the doctor (especially famous doctors), so check carefully before going. I went because I heard they only recommend what’s truly necessary and examine you as if they were treating their own eyes, but they said the event couldn’t be done with that doctor, so I went to another doctor. That doctor looked roughly and said ptosis correction was mandatory and an outline wasn’t possible, and that I must have been using double eyelid tape or glue, so shouldn’t I know better myself? Seeing that just left me dumbfounded. I don’t know if they have a prejudice that anyone without an outer double eyelid must be using those things, but personally it rubbed me the wrong way.. Not every clinic is like that, but at least at most clinics, you can’t designate the doctor you want for event pricing. It seems like they’re trying to let less experienced doctors build experience, but that’s really down to luck, so unless you don’t have money and absolutely have to do it right now, even if it’s an event price, try to go somewhere where you can designate the doctor!!! If you have any other questions, I’ll tell you as much as I can.
