Concerns before surgery My nose wasn’t particularly low overall, but I was always bothered by how my alar base looked a bit wide and spread out. Every time I took a front-facing photo, my nose looked wider, and although the nasal tip was okay, the nostril wings looked stuffy, so I wanted to refine the line naturally. Since I especially valued a natural look, I definitely wanted a surgery that “wouldn’t look obvious.” When choosing a clinic, I immediately turned down places that recommended too much, and I trusted this place more because they didn’t force anything on me and only suggested directions that suited my face. Surgical process & pain Honestly, since it was surgery, it hurt at first. Around the time the anesthesia wore off, I felt a throbbing pain, and for three days I had no energy and couldn’t wash, so I felt uncomfortable. It really hurt when the stitches were removed because there were a lot of stitches from the alar reduction. After that, I managed it well as the clinic instructed, so every time I looked at my nose I gradually felt better, and even now I’m still washing my face very, very carefully. Surprisingly, after surgery there was almost no bruising, and the swelling went down faster than I expected! After about a week, I was able to go about daily life without major discomfort, and after about 2–3 weeks, people around me were saying things like, “Something changed, but I’m not sure what… your face looks prettier?” Recovery & results Recovery time probably differs from person to person, but for me, after about 2–3 weeks almost everything had settled, and now that it has been a month, I think it looks really natural. What I liked most of all was that there was no “obvious sign that I had nose surgery.” It feels like my face changed naturally in a way that suits me, so people around me seem to know I look prettier but don’t really know what I had done. So far, except for having trouble breathing during the first three days, I’m very satisfied.
