Review of Online Research and In-Person Consultations for Eye Revision Surgery

I’ll write a consultation review for eye revision surgery + under-eye fat repositioning. First, my eyes are protruding, and I have hollowing from fat loss above the eyes. I had primary buried-incision double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction a few years ago, but it came undone while I was overseas, and I couldn’t get revision surgery. Now I really felt like I had to do it again, so I went around to hospitals for surgical consultations. I went to a total of 4 places, and they all told me similar things. Gyeonggi area ㅊㄷㄴㅇ (this is where my mom had hers done, and my mom’s acquaintances all said they had good results here, so she made the appointment herself and I went) - Buried method, fat grafting (upper and lower), fat removal - Vice director consultation: remove all the existing line and create a new higher line, then fat grafting (one session would be enough). For under-eye fat repositioning, they would open the lower eyelid and tidy up the fat line. Since the side cheeks are hollow, they recommended doing fat grafting to the side cheeks as well while harvesting fat. - Here, the director did not personally design the line; I only had a consultation with the vice director. ㅇㅇㅅㅊㄷ - They only talked about exactly the surgeries I wanted. - Upper eyelid fat grafting / buried method, under-eye fat repositioning - Director consultation: non-incisional buried method + fat grafting needed (up to 2 sessions) If necessary during surgery, they may switch to incision, but based on the current appearance, sufficient improvement seems possible with non-incisional surgery + grafting. They felt the right side only needs the loosened end portion fixed. For now, after fat grafting and repositioning, grafting to the side cheek area is not immediately necessary. - As mentioned above, they only discussed the areas I wanted. Also, there are so many eye revision surgery reviews, and the review photos all had the kind of line + aesthetic sense I wanted, so they looked good to me. ㅇㅇㄱㄹ - The wait was long. I waited 1 hour 30 minutes.... - If doing only one side, it’s possible to pinch it with a non-incisional method. - The doctor said that if I do that, there is a high chance it will go back again someday, so they recommended doing both sides with incision plus ptosis correction. - The wait was too long, and here too they only explained the surgery I wanted and the parts that needed correction. The review photos were all very much my style too, but the price was overwhelmingly expensive. ㅂㄴㄴ Director’s opinion Since the sizes of both eyes are different, for the right side, prevent loosening from the previous buried-method surgery / for the left side, because the difference is large, hold the muscle through ptosis correction. Both sides incision + ptosis correction + fat grafting For the lower under-eye area, they recommended slight fat removal and fat grafting rather than fat repositioning. For opening the eyes with the forehead, they recommended Botox rather than putting fat there. Non-incisional ptosis correction, upper eyelid fat grafting, anterior cheek fat grafting, under-eye fat removal - Here too, like the other hospitals, there was no recommendation for unnecessary surgery, only recommendations on what could make it look better later. The hospital reviews had more reviews for other procedures than for eye surgery.
