Double eyelid revision after 10 years: natural adhesion + upper epicanthoplasty

<Before surgery><1 month after surgery><1 month after surgery>Double eyelid revision review The double eyelids I had done 10 years ago gradually loosened over time, and my double eyelids kept appearing and disappearing, which stressed me out a lot. The existing line and the old surgical line sometimes overlapped and looked like a double line, and the inner corner of my left eye looked slightly lower than the right, so I wanted to balance both sides. So this time, I decided on revision surgery more carefully :) When choosing a hospital, I avoided places that felt like factory-style clinics operating on many people all at once, and chose a hospital where the director personally checked everything thoroughly from consultation to surgery. During the consultation, the director carefully looked at my face shape and eye shape and said that a line that was too thick could make my impression look heavy. Looking in the mirror, I completely agreed with that. So I decided on a natural line somewhere between an in-out and semi-out line, and also had an upper epicanthoplasty to match the symmetry of the inner corners of both eyes. The surgery finished faster than I expected, and I got so sleepy in the recliner chair in the recovery room. The consultation was also kind and quick, so I trusted them from the start. I made the reservation in a hurry, but luckily there was exactly one spot left on the date I wanted, so I was able to have the surgery on my preferred schedule. I was super lucky✨ I was satisfied. After surgery, the hospital gave me swelling-care items, which were really useful. They carefully instructed me to place gauze on the area when applying an ice pack, so I followed that exactly. Thanks to that, the swelling went down quickly and I had almost no pain. My skin type tends to scar or stay red easily, and my eyes are sensitive, so I tend to rub them often even with slight discomfort, which worried me a lot. But everything healed very cleanly without inflammation or swelling. Especially at the incision area near the inner corners of my eyes, there is still a very slight redness, but it is healing nicely to the point that it is almost unnoticeable with makeup :) The stitches were not very noticeable either, so I went to work just two days after surgery, and until I said it myself, no one around me knew I had double eyelid surgery. The consultant and the desk staff were also really kind, and when I went for follow-up checks, the doctor examined me thoroughly and attentively, so I felt very comfortable. At first, I felt the two sides were slightly different, but now the swelling has gone down completely and both sides are beautifully symmetrical. As the swelling subsided, it became much more natural, and the line suits my face shape so well that I feel good every time I look in the mirror. In conclusion, I really think I made the right decision to get revision surgery! I am satisfied with everything: the surgical results, the recovery process, and even my choice of hospital.
