Liposuction Reviews

Arm liposuction

Choosing the clinic With exactly one month left before my wedding ceremony, I felt like there was no way I could go ahead with these arms, so I made the decision in a rush. I’m 165 cm/53 kg with an average build, but the fat is concentrated only in my upper arms, and even when I was preparing for a body profile shoot, only my arms looked chubby, so I think it made me even less motivated to diet Since I live abroad, I booked it so I could have the consultation and surgery on the same day, and communicated with Manager Go Ara through KakaoTalk. I didn’t have much time, but the clinic was also very well-known and the reviews looked good, so I didn’t compare it with other places and only had a consultation at Lovel and proceeded there. I did have one or two other places on my list, but they were either ridiculously expensive or had occasional bad reviews, so I decided on Lovel because it had the most reasonable price and no bad reviews. My family home is in a regional area, so I could have done it more cheaply there, but since it was an important surgery, I thought I should go to Seoul even if it was inconvenient, and I really, really think I made the right choice. Since my wedding was coming up, I couldn’t help worrying a bit about things possibly going wrong, bruising, swelling, scars, etc., but I decided without much hesitation with the mindset that anything would be better than those upper arms. Before consultation/surgery I arrived a little early on the consultation day, but the managers immediately measured my InBody, took photos, and took me in for the consultation, so I barely waited. What surprised me was that there were so many patients coming in who also had about my average build.. I guess even after overall dieting, for areas that still bother you, liposuction may be the only answer haha. During the consultation with Manager Go Ara, even before the surgery I was unsure whether I should do accessory breast removal, but before I even said anything, the manager looked and immediately told me it probably wasn’t necessary, so I thought, as expected, they don’t force unnecessary add-ons.. and I trusted them even more. Then I met the director right away, and he was the friendliest and most comfortable plastic surgery director I’ve ever met!! hahaha He talked to me even in situations that could have been a bit embarrassing, answered every question coolly, and I felt like I had chosen the right director. After surgery~same day When I woke up in the recovery room after surgery, first of all I was extremely hungry and my throat was scratchy. I think it was because I hadn’t even had water due to fasting, and the nurses brought me porridge and water The porridge was so good too.. For some reason, lying down made my body ache, so I thought I should go home early, came to my senses quickly, and immediately took the train down to my family home in the region. Before I went home, they showed me the extracted fat, which was fascinating.. They said they removed a total of 700 cc. When I got home that day, I washed my hair while bending forward and washed everywhere except my upper body. I could raise my arms all the way up, and the only discomfort was throat pain, so my arms were totally fine. Day 1~Day 4 The next day, when I took off the compression garment to disinfect, the swelling had gone down more than on the day of surgery. I thought it would gradually swell more, but in the end, the swelling was worst on the day of surgery, and after that the swelling only moved down toward the forearms, while the surgical area stayed slim. I kept doing overhead arm stretches several times a day. It didn’t interfere with daily life at all, and I spent the whole day going out and having fun.. None of the people around me who didn’t know I had surgery noticed at all haha. The only uncomfortable thing was that the compression garment rubbed against my elbow area whenever it bent, and that was the most uncomfortable part I wore the compression garment all the time except for about 30 minutes when washing and disinfecting, and maybe because there wasn’t much swelling, it was less suffocating than I expected. Since 700 cc isn’t that much to remove and I thought there would be swelling, I didn’t expect my line right away, but from the very next day I could see the line I wanted, so all I could think was, why didn’t I do this until now? Day 5~Day 7 Because of the rubbing at my elbows, I contacted the manager and slightly cut the elbow part. They said the bruising and swelling would gradually get worse, but it was so mild that I couldn’t really tell if anything was getting worse or not hahaha. Of course there was a little swelling, but it was the kind of swelling that no one except me would notice. Yesterday was day 6, and maybe because the weather was humid or because I had pulled the bandage off roughly, a bandage allergy flared up So I watched it for about half a day, but eventually took off all the bandages and wore only the compression garment. Even then it kept itching and felt uncomfortable, so for the first time I took off the compression garment for a few hours and stayed like that But once I had the compression garment off, I felt more anxious... Maybe it was psychological, but wearing it felt much more comfortable haha. Since I have my wedding coming up, I am a bit worried about the scars, so I think I need to take good care of them from now on. Thoughts A close friend with a similar build to mine had arm liposuction in a regional area, and I once took care of her afterward. Back then, for several days she couldn’t even lift her arms halfway, even a light touch hurt, and the bruising and swelling were so severe, so I expected about the same for myself. But I was so fine that my friend asked if I really had it done, so I thought that even if it’s far away, surgery should be done somewhere that’s good at it. I thought the swelling would last quite a while, so I did it with the mindset that even if I didn’t have the perfect line on the wedding day, it would be enough as long as it was better than before surgery. But from the next day, I already had the line I wanted, so if the swelling goes down even more from here, how much slimmer will I get.. Why did I not do this until now and think I could lose it myself.. I regretted all the time I spent living with stress haha. I’m no longer worried about swelling or bruising, and the only worry left is scars!! I’ll get the stitches removed next week, and I think I just need to take good care of them.
