I went for a consultation at Hani Plastic Surgery. My original concern was that my eye fat was thin and I had many overlapping creases, so my eyes looked uneven, and because my eye shape looked slightly upturned, my impression looked strong. The clinic atmosphere was comfortable and the interior was clean, so my first impression was good. After the consultant took photos, she gave me a brief explanation, and then the director came in personally, held the line for me, and consulted with me. When I brought semi-out reference photos, he summarized it by saying that both semi-out and in-out would suit me, but for semi-out, I would need upper epicanthoplasty as well so my impression would not look harsh, and if it did not absolutely have to be semi-out, in-out could also be done beautifully enough without canthoplasty. When we actually tried holding the line, in-out looked natural for my eye proportions and felt less burdensome, so I decided on in-out buried-suture double eyelids without canthoplasty. Since my eye fat is on the thin side, he also explained the fat grafting option to help maintain the line, but he respected my choice without pressuring me, so I felt comfortable. Overall, the explanation was calm and kind, and I got the feeling that the aftercare guidance was systematic, so after the consultation my decision was neatly settled.
