I usually had such severe septal deviation that I could only breathe through one side, and the doctor also said, “How have you been breathing with this nose?” and told me it was definitely a nose that needed functional rhinoplasty, so I decided on functional nose surgery without hesitation. Since, as people do, I started wanting more, my bulbous nose and hump were quite severe, so I thought that while they were opening up my nose anyway, I should get those done too. I had the hump shaved down, and had bulbous nose surgery without an implant using donated costal cartilage. I’m on day 9 now, and I’m worried because my nose seems to be sticking out so sharply like Pinocchio... According to the doctor, once the swelling goes down, the shape will settle naturally, but is there anyone who was like Pinocchio like me and then had the swelling go down and the nose settle into place??! Of course, my previous nose was so blunt and the hump was severe, so I like the operated nose more than my old nose, but I’m worried because it looks too much like Pinocchio..! Seniors, please leave realistic advice in the comments!!!
